Leadership Essentials
Skills for the Emerging Leader
with coach Jomar Gomez
If you're a new leader or looking to define your leadership identity; maybe you'd like to manage a team someday. This sprint will guide you through the fundamental skills of leadership, starting with your unique 'why'.
In this sprint we will take stock of your current natural leadership style and we will build skills to help you build trust, cultivate psychological safety, manage 1:1s and team meetings in your own powerful style, manage up effectively, hold norms and celebrate your team.
"To know yourself, you must sacrifice the illusion that you already do"
-Vironika Tugaleva
In other words, if you want to succeed in this new challenge, you must take inventory of what you know, leave what’s no longer helpful and bring forward those insights and skills that will help you in this next stage of development.
In this coaching sprint, we will develop your unique value proposition as a leader. We will work with your strengths and learn new ones, as we support you in your transition.

Some of the leaders I've served and coached are from Disney, USC, BackStage Capital, Amazon, General Assembly, MakeIt Studios, Grid110, Archer Roose, Hum Capital, AfterPay, BenchSci, the White House, and many more.
As your coach, I will guide your awareness, helping you to transform into an empowered creator aligned with your true nature.
External focus turns inward and success becomes “effortless.” The illusion melts away. Pain becomes opportunity and your Wisdom reveals the path."
FAQ:
Homework?
- Homework is not required but your experience will be enhanced if you engage in weekly reading and watching as well as home practice.
Expected commitment?
- I expect that we will both spend a full dedicated hour together every other week. Beyond that your applied practice time commitment is up to you. Most people find that there is an additional 30-40 minutes per week of material or exercises.
Experience needed prior?
- Just being a human is enough!
Support outside of sessions?
- Call/text/email. I will gladly engage outside of sessions as long as my time commitment is under 15 minutes. If it feels that we are crossing over that threshold, I may encourage you to schedule an additional session at $500/hr.
Canceling/rescheduling
- If you need to reschedule, please make an effort to let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to reschedule within the week. If we cannot do that, we may extend our 3-month sprint to get the full 6 sessions.
- If you need to cancel, please do so 24 hours or more before our scheduled meeting. If you cancel a meeting without effort to reschedule, you will be charged for that meeting.
