Why Choose Cleveland Clinic Centers of Excellence?

Thank you for considering the Cleveland Clinic Centers of Excellence Program.

Imagine receiving care from a team that’s dedicated to you, where every step is designed to ensure the best possible outcome. At Cleveland Clinic, we're here for one reason: to take care of our patients, like you, with exceptional, compassionate care delivered by our multidisciplinary teams. Each year, patients travel from all 50 states and all over the world, to receive care at Cleveland Clinic.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to touch more lives, alleviate suffering, and deliver the highest standard of care and experience to every patient. Our Centers of Excellence Program is designed to provide you with confidence and peace of mind throughout your healthcare journey.

If you or your covered dependents need non-urgent surgical procedures, this program is designed to guide you every step of the way. It all begins with an appropriateness of care review that you can complete from the comfort of your own home. Our expert clinicians will carefully review your medical records to determine if our program is the right fit for you.

Should you require surgery and choose to travel to Cleveland Clinic, our program offers enhanced support. Once you meet your deductible, your employee health plan may cover 100% of program-eligible costs, including travel and lodging for both you and a companion.

But our commitment doesn’t stop after your surgery. We’ll provide your medical records and a comprehensive discharge plan for you to share with your local provider, ensuring a smooth transition in your care. Our team will continue to check in with you during your recovery, so you’re never alone on your journey returning to better health.

With Cleveland Clinic’s Centers of Excellence Program, you receive exceptional care and compassionate support from start to finish.

Why Choose Cleveland Clinic?

"Everyone that I came into contact with at Cleveland Clinic was amazing. As big as the place is, I couldn't even get lost because there were helpful people everywhere. You guys are doing everything right! I would rate the experience a 10 and I would recommend the program to my friends and family"

Our Centers of Excellence Program Surgical Outcomes

Choosing to have your surgery through our Centers of Excellence Program isn’t just about receiving treatment—it’s about achieving the best possible outcomes for your health:

  • Consistent, high-quality results: Our patients experience fewer complications after surgery.
  • Lower chances of needing to return: We have a lower readmission rate, meaning patients are less likely to need another hospital stay after surgery.
  • Long-term savings: Our care helps reduce your overall healthcare costs over time.
  • High patient satisfaction: Our patients are so pleased with their care that they give us top scores. We measure satisfaction using the Net Promoter Score (NPS), which tells us how likely people are to recommend our program. Patients rate their experience on a scale of 1-10, with 10 meaning they are "extremely likely to recommend the Cleveland Clinic Centers of Excellence program."

Below you will find the Visitor Guide to our main campus. Here, you’ll find information about our services — parking, transportation, food and places to stay the night — to name just a few.
