Vivid Sydney Mini Break
Sydney knows how to put on a show, but during Vivid it becomes something else entirely.
For four days, we’ll experience the city as its harbour, buildings and laneways are transformed by light installations, projections, music and art. We’ll see Vivid from the water on an evening harbour cruise, explore the installations on foot and make time for some of the other things Sydney does particularly well—great food, beautiful coastal walks and a little shopping.
With three nights at the five-star InterContinental Sydney and time to enjoy the city at your own pace, it’s a very good excuse for a winter weekend across the Tasman.

Tour Pricing - Twin Share
NZ$3,095 per person (based on ten people travelling)
Rooms are based on twin share; however, a single room is available for an additional NZ$1,286 per person (for a guaranteed single room).
Airfares and Exclusions
Return airfares to Sydney are not included in the package price and can be booked directly with Her Tribe Travels.
As an indication, direct return economy airfares on Air New Zealand start from NZ$895 per person ex Auckland including airport departure taxes. This fare includes a meal, drink, movies and 23kg checked in luggage per person. A Her Tribe Travels booking fee of NZ$150 applies for any flight bookings.
The tour price does not include items of a personal nature such as spending money, food and beverages (other than those specified in inclusions), pre/post tour arrangements, optional tours and activities not specified, tips/gratuities, laundry, telephone/fax calls, spa treatments, still and video camera fees at sights, excess luggage for flights, medical expenses, visa fees and travel insurance.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Thursday 03 June.
Arrive Sydney.
Arrive into Sydney by international flight. Following customs and immigration formalities, and baggage collection, the group will be transferred by private transfer to the InterContinental Sydney hotel. Rooms will be ready from 3pm for check-in.
Our tour formally begins this evening when we meet upstairs at the Aster bar for a welcome cocktail. As the sun sets, we'll take in our first views across the city as Sydney begins to light up for Vivid.
After a light bite to eat at Aster Bar, we will then make our way to our waiting boat for our Vivid Sydney cruise of Sydney Harbour. Once aboard, we'll set off across Sydney Harbour to see the Vivid installations from the water, with canapés and a welcome drink as we cruise past the Opera House and beneath the Harbour Bridge. This is a welcome evening to remember!
Sydney:
Few cities have a setting quite like Sydney. Its harbour, beaches and instantly recognisable architecture may get most of the attention, but there's plenty more going on, from excellent restaurants and neighbourhood bars to galleries, shopping and an ever-changing cultural scene.
It's a city that rewards a little wandering, which is exactly why we've left you some time to do just that.

Day 2
Friday 04 June.
It's an early start this morning as we head to Sydney's East beaches for the 2.3-kilometre coastal walk from Bronte to Bondi. We'll pass Tamarama Beach and Mackenzies Bay along the way, with beautiful views across the coastline and Pacific Ocean.
Afterwards, we'll return to hotel for breakfast, with the rest of the morning at leisure.
This afternoon, we'll settle in for a long lunch at Botanic House in the Royal Botanic Garden, with a menu by chef Luke Nguyen and wine pairings included.
In the evening we venture out on a self-guided walk of Vivid Sydney from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour via the Rocks and Barangaroo, taking in the sights, sounds and colours of this spectacular event.
En route we will enjoy drinks and food from the various bars and eateries dotted along the walk including dinner at Vivid Fire Kitchen (own cost).

Day 3
Saturday 05 June.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Today is a day at leisure for you to make the most of your time in Sydney. Take in a spot of outlet shopping at Birkenhead Point, or shop at the Queen Victoria Building in the city centre. Catch up with friends or family living in Sydney. Take the ferry to Manly Beach and catch up on some sunshine. Enjoy a spa treatment or sightseeing activity.
This evening the group will come together to experience a very special Vivid Sydney farewell dinner.

Day 4
Sunday 06 June.
Breakfast at leisure.
After breakfast, our Vivid Sydney Mini Break comes to an end. If you're extending your stay in Sydney or travellng elsewhere in Australia, we're very happy to help with arrangements.

Once we've received your registration, we'll be in touch to confirm your place on the tour and provide your payment schedule.
We'll also need a copy of the photo page of your passport. Once you've completed your registration, please email a clear copy to hello@hertribetravels.com.
To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of NZ$500 per person is required within seven days of receiving your registration.
A final balance payment is due by Friday 26 March 2027.
Note: Any applicable entry visa (if required) and travel insurance is the responsibility of each traveller.

Terms and Conditions
Minimum Traveller Numbers
Tour activities and pricing are based on a minimum of ten (10) travellers. If the minimum number is not reached, Her Tribe Travels reserves the right to cancel the tour, in which case all deposits paid will be refunded. Alternatively, we may offer the tour with fewer travellers, subject to any necessary adjustment to the tour price.
Accommodation
All rooms are priced on a twin-share basis (two people sharing a room with two beds). A guaranteed single room is available for an additional NZ$1,286 per person. Hotels and accommodation are subject to change depending on final traveller numbers and availability.
Pricing Adjustments
Tour pricing is based on current exchange rates, local government taxes and applicable supplier costs. In the event of currency fluctuations, changes to government taxes or increases in fuel costs, Her Tribe Travels reserves the right to adjust the tour price accordingly. Any increase or decrease will be communicated to travellers.
Cancellations
If a traveller cancels after their booking has been confirmed, the non-refundable deposit will be retained by Her Tribe Travels. If cancellation occurs after full payment has been made, full cancellation fees will apply. Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and emergency evacuation is mandatory. Travellers are strongly encouraged to arrange insurance as soon as their booking is confirmed.
Unforeseen Circumstances and Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our control that prevent the tour from proceeding, including natural disasters or force majeure events, local suppliers may waive their standard cancellation policies and charge an administration fee. Travellers will remain responsible for any non-recoverable amounts already paid to third-party suppliers, together with any applicable bank transaction fees.
Credit Card Payments
Payments made by credit card will incur a 2.5% credit card surcharge.
Medical and Evacuation Costs
Travellers are responsible for any additional medical or evacuation costs incurred during the tour.
