Uncover Bali: Shopping & Treasures
At first glance, Bali might be all beaches, beautiful resorts and blissful spas. Dig a little deeper, though, and you'll discover another side to the island—one filled with incredible fashion, homewares, art, jewellery and locally made treasures.
Uncover Bali: Shopping & Treasures is our excuse to indulge in all of it, with just the right amount of sunshine, cocktails and downtime thrown in.
We’ll begin our shopping adventure in the company of a fabulous local interior designer, who’ll take us beyond the obvious and introduce us to some of her favourite places for fashion, art and homewares. Over the following days, we’ll continue exploring some of Bali’s best shopping spots, with plenty of time to browse for everything from clothing, jewellery and leather goods to beautiful pieces for your home.
By day four, we’ll be ready to swap the shops for a beach club, with lunch at La Brisa in Canggu and time to wander its Sunday market.
And because we firmly believe recovery should be built into any serious shopping expedition, we’ve added three nights in Ubud to the end of the tour. Think a slower pace, beautiful surroundings and a little time to enjoy Bali without wondering how you're going to fit one more purchase into your suitcase.

Tour Inclusions
- Return airport transfers (for arrival and departure with the tour host/group arrival and departure)

Tour Pricing - Twin Share
NZ$4,599 per person (based on ten people travelling)
Rooms are based on twin share however a single supplement cost is available at an additional NZ$1,960 per person (for a guaranteed single room).
Airfares and Exclusions
Return airfares to Bali are not included in the package price and can be booked directly with Her Tribe Travels.
As an indication direct return economy airfares on Air New Zealand are NZ$1,695* per person including airport departure taxes. This fare includes standard seat selection and 23kg checked in luggage per person. A Her Tribe Travels booking fee of NZ$250 applies for any flight bookings. *Specials do appear regularly with Air New Zealand.
The tour price does not include items of a personal nature such as spending money, food and beverages (other than those specified in inclusions), pre/post tour arrangements, optional tours and activities not specified, tips/gratuity, laundry, telephone/fax calls, additional spa treatments, still and video camera fees at monuments, excess luggage for flights, medical expenses, visa fees and travel insurance.
Airfares and pre- and post-tour accommodations booked with Her Tribe Travels receive full service benefits with regards to flight changes, flight cancellations, and rebooking.

Day 1
Wednesday 12 May
Arrive Seminyak
Welcome to Bali!
Arrive into Denpasar by international flight. After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you’ll be met by our local representative outside the arrivals hall and transferred to your hotel in Seminyak.
On arrival at the hotel, there’ll be time to check in, freshen up and settle into your room before joining the group for our welcome dinner. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and raise a glass to the week ahead.
Seminyak:
Stylish, energetic and home to some of Bali’s best restaurants, boutiques and beach clubs, Seminyak makes the perfect base for the first half of our tour. Beyond the beautiful beach, its streets are filled with independent designers, galleries, homewares stores and plenty of places we suspect you’ll want to revisit before we leave.

Day 2
Thursday 13 May
Shop Like a Local
After breakfast, we’ll meet a local interior designer who knows exactly where to find some of Bali’s best fashion, art and homewares.
Over a half-day privately guided shopping tour, she’ll introduce us to some of her favourite stores, designers and finds, giving us an insider’s perspective on Bali’s wonderfully creative shopping scene.
Transfers and light refreshments are included.
The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. For those who would like to join us, we’ll head to colourful La Plancha on Seminyak Beach for a casual optional dinner and sunset drinks with our feet in the sand.

Day 3
Friday 14 May
More Treasures to Find
After breakfast, we’ll head out for another half-day of shopping, with private transportation making it very easy to accumulate considerably more than you intended.
Today we’ll explore more of the stores and boutiques Bali is known for, with time to discover fashion, jewellery, accessories, homewares and perhaps a few treasures you weren't actually looking for.
Not in the mood to shop? The day is completely yours. Settle in beside the pool, explore Seminyak at your own pace or let us help arrange an optional activity or excursion.
This evening, you’re welcome to join the group for an optional dinner at Merah Putih, one of Seminyak’s most striking restaurants. Its contemporary take on Indonesian cuisine is served in a spectacular soaring space that makes dinner here an experience in itself.

Day 4
Saturday 15 May
Shop, Spa, Repeat
We’re not finished yet.
After breakfast, we’ll head out for our final half-day of escorted shopping in Seminyak, with transportation included and plenty more time to explore Bali’s fashion, homewares and design scene.
If your suitcase—or your enthusiasm—has reached capacity, you’re equally welcome to spend the morning at leisure. Stay poolside at the hotel or make your way to one of Seminyak’s nearby beach clubs, such as SugarSand, Ku De Ta or Potato Head.
This afternoon, we’re giving our feet a well-earned rest. We’ve reserved time at a beautiful local day spa, where you can choose a one-hour massage or beauty treatment, included as part of your tour.
The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 5
Sunday 16 May
Canggu to Ubud
After breakfast, we’ll check out and make our way to Canggu for a change of pace.
Our destination is La Brisa, one of Bali’s most atmospheric beach clubs and home to its popular Sunday market. Take your time browsing the stalls of local makers and artisans before settling in for a relaxed poolside lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll leave the coast behind and travel approximately 1½ hours to Ubud, where we’ll check into our hotel for the final three nights of the tour.
Ubud:
Surrounded by lush landscapes and deeply connected to Bali’s artistic and spiritual traditions, Ubud offers a very different side of the island. It’s a place for beautiful food, traditional crafts, wellness, culture and a decidedly slower pace—which is exactly what we have planned after several very successful days of shopping.

Day 6
Monday 17 May
A Day of Wellbeing
After breakfast, we’ll make our way to Pyramids of Chi for a day devoted entirely to slowing down, switching off and experiencing some of Ubud’s best-known wellbeing practices.
Our planned experiences include:
Group Kundalini Yoga and Healing
A guided session incorporating movement, breathwork and meditation, designed to encourage relaxation, mindfulness and connection.
One-on-One Astrology Reading
Enjoy an individual astrology reading offering a personal interpretation of your birth chart and the opportunity to explore its themes and insights.
Group Sound Bowl Healing
We’ll finish with a deeply relaxing sound experience using Tibetan and crystal singing bowls. Settle in, close your eyes and allow yourself to do absolutely nothing for a while.
Please note: Pyramids of Chi has not yet released its May 2027 schedule. The experiences listed above represent our planned program and may be substituted with comparable experiences once the 2027 schedule is confirmed.

Day 7
Tuesday 18 May
Ubud, Your Way
Our final full day is yours to spend exactly as you please.
You might choose a bike ride through the countryside, take a Balinese cooking class, join a yoga session, discover a local artisan or craft experience, or head back into Ubud for one last shopping expedition. We’ll be happy to help arrange an activity that appeals to you.
This evening, we’ll come together for our farewell dinner at Merlin’s Bali in the heart of Ubud.
Merlin’s is playful, theatrical and unlike anywhere else we’ll eat on the tour. The immersive restaurant takes its inspiration from mythology and magic, with an element of surprise woven into the dining experience—including the option to let the cards decide what you’ll be eating.
It seems a suitably memorable place to celebrate our final night together.

Day 8
Wednesday 19 May
Departure Day
Enjoy your final breakfast in Ubud before checking out of the hotel.
Today marks the end of our Uncover Bali: Shopping & Treasures adventure. You may be heading home to New Zealand, continuing your travels elsewhere in Bali or perhaps wondering how you’re going to explain the additional luggage at check-in.
Whatever comes next, we hope you leave with some beautiful treasures, wonderful memories and a very well-used credit card.

Once we've received your registration, we'll be in touch to confirm your place on the tour and provide your payment schedule.
We'll also need a copy of the photo page of your passport. Once you've completed your registration, please email a clear copy to hello@hertribetravels.com.
To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of NZ$1,000 per person is required within seven days of Her Tribe Travels receiving your registration and contact details.
A progress payment of NZ$2,000 per person is due by Friday 22 January 2027.
A final balance payment of NZ$1,599 is due by Friday 02 April 2027.
At confirmation stage please indicate whether you wish to book your flights with Her Tribe Travels (additional airfare cost applies and will be required to be paid upon booking flights) and any pre/post tour extension requirements (payment terms for pre/post tour extensions will be advised once quoted). Airfares and pre- and post-tour accommodations booked with Her Tribe Travels receive full service benefits with regards to flight changes, flight cancellations, and rebooking.
Note: Any applicable entry visa (if required) and travel insurance is the responsibility of each traveller, however Her Tribe Travels would be very happy to assist with any requirements (fees may apply).
Terms and Conditions
Minimum Traveller Numbers
Tour activities and pricing are based on a minimum of ten (10) travellers. If the minimum number is not reached, Her Tribe Travels reserves the right to cancel the tour, in which case all deposits paid will be refunded. Alternatively, we may offer the tour with fewer travellers, subject to any necessary adjustment to the tour price.
Accommodation
All rooms are priced on a twin-share basis (two people sharing a room with two beds). A guaranteed single room is available for an additional NZ$1,960 per person. Hotels and accommodation are subject to change depending on final traveller numbers and availability.
Pricing Adjustments
Tour pricing is based on current exchange rates, local government taxes and applicable supplier costs. In the event of currency fluctuations, changes to government taxes or increases in fuel costs, Her Tribe Travels reserves the right to adjust the tour price accordingly. Any increase or decrease will be communicated to travellers.
Cancellations
If a traveller cancels after their booking has been confirmed, the non-refundable deposit will be retained by Her Tribe Travels. If cancellation occurs after full payment has been made, full cancellation fees will apply. Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and emergency evacuation is mandatory. Travellers are strongly encouraged to arrange insurance as soon as their booking is confirmed.
Unforeseen Circumstances and Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our control that prevent the tour from proceeding, including natural disasters or force majeure events, local suppliers may waive their standard cancellation policies and charge an administration fee. Travellers will remain responsible for any non-recoverable amounts already paid to third-party suppliers, together with any applicable bank transaction fees.
Credit Card Payments
Payments made by credit card will incur a 2.5% credit card surcharge.
Medical and Evacuation Costs
Travellers are responsible for any additional medical or evacuation costs incurred during the tour.
