Revolutionizing Craft Beverage Dispensing with TurboStack
We helped Flusso Systems shave over 11 months of development time, reducing their startup costs by at least $785k+.

Samuel P. (Co-Founder)
Flusso Systems Inc.
Since working with TurboStack, we saved $785k in development costs, and were able to get our products to market 4.5x quicker than traditional software development practices.
The Challenge
Build a complete, full-stack architecture given their existing database. In addition, landscape and develop a full administration portal to manage that data with Crud operations, while increasing their code coverage by over 90%.
Need for a modern, user-friendly administration portal to manage various data entities (customers, accounts, payment methods, devices, users, menus, drinks, ingredients, etc.).
Requirement for a robust backend REST API and abstraction layer to support the frontend and integrate with the beverage dispensing hardware.
Necessity to isolate business logic within a dedicated layer for maintainability and scalability.
Severe lack of development resources and limited funding, typical of an early-stage startup. It would have taken months to interview and hire 3 new developers.
Non-existent code coverage, raising concerns about software reliability and maintainability.
The Solution
Design and generate a maintenance-centric, full-stack architecture that would be resilient to the inevitable changes in technology and expand the shelf-life of the solution to 10-15 years. Additionally, the team needed this to be implemented in a way that would be fast, reliable, and secure.
- Designed a scalable, maintainable architecture tailored to Flusso's specific needs.
- Ensured clear separation of concerns across all layers of the application.
- Developed custom automation templates and patterns for generating code across the entire stack.
- Implemented CRUD operations for all required data entities in the frontend and backend.
- Assisted in developing a comprehensive data model schema.
- Established and generated proper model relationships to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
- Leveraged TurboStack's AI-enabled code generation to develop the full-stack MVP1 solution in a single sprint.
- Generated consistent, high-quality code for frontend, backend, and business logic layers.
- Enabled 1 developer to build the mobile app in the following 3 sprints since all of the backend framework was already in place.
- Optimize tool access and integration with the dev team within DevOps and Visual Studio.
- Trained developers on the core architecture, patterns, & practice.
- Trained developers on contract-driven development using a maintenance-centric approach.
- Trained developers to use the tools and utilities for greenfield activities.
The Results
A modern, full-stack implementation for MVP1 in just a matter of a few sprints using 1 engineer to do it all. The solution featured a Modern Web Application, a Mobile Application, a new Web Service Transport and Abstraction Layer, a Business Layer, and a Data Repository Layer with full integration and unit tests for code coverage.
- Solution delivered in under 3 months, compared to an estimated 14 months using traditional development methods.
- Total time saved: 11 months (78% reduction in development time)
- Saved $785,000 in development costs.
- Enabled Flusso Systems to allocate resources to other critical areas of their business.
- Achieved high code coverage through automatically generated unit tests.
- Consistent coding standards and patterns across the entire application.
- Improved code quality to ~92%.
- The maintenance-centric architecture ensures easy updates and additions to the system.
- Clear separation of concerns facilitates future enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Rapid development allowed Flusso to launch their MVP much earlier than anticipated.
- Early market entry provided a competitive advantage and opportunities for user feedback.
- Flusso's small development team was able to focus on core business logic and unique features.
- Reduced dependency on hiring additional developers for basic CRUD and API development.
Conclusion
By leveraging TurboStack's AI-driven, architecture-first code generation platform, Flusso Systems Inc. was able to overcome their resource constraints and technical challenges. The startup successfully developed a comprehensive, high-quality MVP for their BarFlo solution in a fraction of the time and cost originally anticipated.
This case study demonstrates TurboStack's potential to revolutionize software development for startups and established enterprise companies, offering unprecedented efficiency and quality in full-stack application development.
