DISC Assessment
Personal DISC Report & DISC Team Report
Many behavioural psychologists have researched the theory that human behaviour can be roughly classified in four groups. No one is purely any style, and no style is better or worse than another. Each tendency has strengths and weaknesses. By recognizing our dominant style and developing the ability to identify traits in others, we can change our behaviours to interact with a wide variety of personalities and tendencies.
The DISC assessment measures and provides insight into four primary behavioural tendencies, and explores how these come together in a personal blend to create our DISC style:
D - Dominance: Direct and Guarded, Fast-paced and Task-oriented, Focuses on Problems & Challenges, Assertive
I - Influence: Direct and Open, Fast-paced and People-oriented, Focuses on People & Contacts, Persuasive
S - Steadiness: Indirect and Open, Slow-paced and People-oriented, Focuses on Pace & consistency, Supportive
C - Conscientious: Indirect and Guarded, Slow-paced and Task-oriented, Focuses on Procedures & Constraints, Analytical
Knowing your style is an important element to help reach across barriers and connect with others while increasing awareness to improve working relationships and collaboration.
Individuals will be able to:
- Take control of actions and feelings, and understand how to react and respond in stressful situations
- Modify behaviour to work and connect with people of different styles
- Enhance communication and leadership skills
- Influence attitudes and behaviours of others

Grow your Managers
Stop Doing and Start Leading
Develop Your Leadership Potential
Most organisations promote individual contributors into these pivotal roles without the training they need to be successful. We often promote our top-performing employees into leadership positions, assuming they can immediately transform into an effective leader. The fact is that the skillset and mindset are completely different, and the transition can be difficult, often resulting in failure. Organisations lose a key contributor and gain a poor leader.
It’s hard on a new leader because they must shift from being accountable for their own performance to managing their former peers and being responsible for the results of others. It’s also difficult on the organisation which faces two challenges: losing the work output from the employee’s prior role while gaining a leader who is learning on the job. “Develop Your Leadership Potential: Stop Doing, Start Leading” addresses that key challenge.
The essence is captured in three fundamental ideas:
- 1.Increase Self-Awareness
- 2.Convey honesty, integrity and accountability
- 3.Use authority and influence appropriately
Learn How To:
- Transition from high performer to effective leader
- Learn to positively influence others
- Create an inspiring but accountable environment
- Know how to use authority appropriately
- Become a confident and credible communicator

How We Do It

The Dale Carnegie experience engages learners from the initial contact through follow-up and support to reinforce key behaviours. Our methodology supports the development of skills and habits needed to sustain performance change. We believe that the emotional shift is as important as the behaviour shift. That’s why our Performance Change Pathway™ shows our deliberate approach to create development experiences that drive improved performance.

Methodology for Transformation
Over 100 years ago, our founder, Dale Carnegie, set down the principles of success in any endeavour – How to Win Friends and Influence People. Those principles, updated for the 21st century, are the foundation of what we do. We help people achieve success by utilising these core concepts of human behaviour and thereby unleashing the leader in each of us. Our “product” is a confident, empowered, inspired and enthusiastic individual who is ready to achieve excellence. That is our formula for success:

The transformation process begins with ‘who we are’. This is where Dale Carnegie starts in the first instance. We impact emotions and shift thinking so that people are more intentional about ‘what we do’ (behaviours) to achieve sustainable long term results ('what we get').
