About Us

Autism Worldwide was created in 2017 as a consulting agency for education and training purposes for business corporations, law enforcement, schools, and governmental agencies to improve the quality of life of individuals with ASD.

By 2018, Autism Worldwide started providing in-home and community Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in Gainesville, FL. In August 2019, we expanded our services to Orlando, FL . In October 2019, we started providing behavior analysis services through telehealth by teaching the parents or caregivers how to applied this principles at home.

Autism Worldwide wants to increase ASD awareness in the labor and school force and to help Autistic individuals thrive in their community. We want to promote independence, self-confidence, and improve social skills of individuals with autism and other disabilities.

Process

We utilize Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA).

Behavior analysis is a scientifically validated approach to understanding behavior and how it is affected by the environment. On a practical level, the principles and methods of behavior analysis have helped many different kinds of learners acquire many different skills – from healthier lifestyles to the mastery of a new language.

Behavior analysis focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place. Positive reinforcement is one such principle. When a behavior is followed by some sort of reward, the behavior is more likely to be repeated. Through decades of research, the field of behavior analysis has developed many techniques for increasing useful behaviors and reducing those that may cause harm or interfere with learning.

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the use of these techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior.

These techniques can be used in structured situations such as a classroom lesson as well as in "everyday" situations such as family dinnertime or the neighborhood playground. Some ABA therapy sessions involve one-on-one interaction between the behavior analyst and the participant.

GOALS

1. What will we be focusing on?

We will focus on helping the kids to change their behavioral problems by working hand in hand with their parents. The parent will choose one behavior at a time that he/she will like to change and we will train their on how to modify it. At the same time, our therapist will establish a close relationship with the kids to understand their likes and dislikes in order to identify the positive reinforcement we need to use to modify an innapropiate behavior and transform it into a positive one.

The parents will be taught during the sessions the four functions of behavior, learning specific interventions based on the function, and learning what to do when behaviors occur.

The parents or caregivers will be taught during the sessions the four functions of behavior, learning specific interventions based on the function, and learning what to do when behaviors occur.

Each child will be seen one hour a week. If another hour a week is necessary to improve behaviors, we will let you know in advance.

+2. What do we need from you?

We will need you to take data during our session intervals in order for us to notice how the treatment is working. Parents or caregivers have to work hand in hand with us to ensure their child's success. Your weekly observations and data will allow us to make direct and objective treatment decisions.
