The Challenge

Design packaging for a new candle product range for Melbourne activewear label BeKeane. Creating a design that ties back to the essence of the brand.

    The Results

    Packaging that features original digital illustrations that the can be used in other BeKeane collateral and products. The packaging design is complimentary on it's own, and alongside other products with the BeKeane range.

    90 Years of Mickey Mouse

    The Challenge

    Create an artwork that is my take on the world’s most iconic mouse that represents why I love Mickey and what he means to me.

    Utilising only the core colour palette of Black, Red, Yellow and White.

    Nicole's role within the project included:

  • Creating a single watercolour artwork that represented Mickey Mouse

    The Results

    The Mickey Mouse inspired art exhibition by Radio Velvet at Melbourne Central showcased 90 original artworks produced by local and international creatives including Jamie Browne, Confetti Studio, Vince Frost, Justine McAllister, Travis Price, George Rose and more. Curated by Eddie Zammit, the exhibition will see the largest array of artists reimagining the world’s most-loved mouse.

    International Women's Day Self Defence Class

    The Challenge

    Create engaging video content to promote the partnership of Melbourne Tigers and John Donehue Jiu Jitsu & MMA in delivering a women's self defence class for International Women's Day.

    Nicole's roles within the project included:

  • Identifying suitable talent for videos
  • Managing relationships and regular communication with talent
  • Organising times for filming of video content
  • Filming and directing video content
  • Editing and producing video content
  • Distribution and publication of videos

    The Results

    Two videos that could be used in social media by John Donehue Jitsu & MMA and the Melbourne Tigers to promote the International Women's Day Self Defence Class.

    All spots for the class were booked with a waitlist.

    Independence Australia

    Inform

    Revamp of Inform Magazine

    The Challenge

    Redesign the look and feel of Inform Magazine, a client facing publication for Independence Australia. Redevelop the publication to be accessible and relevant to those living with a disability. Producing a publication that is sustainable through the sale of advertising to brands and stakeholders.

    The Role

    Nicole's roles within the project included:

  • Briefing and directing the external design and editorial team
  • Directing content creation
  • Supplying content, images and graphics to external design team
  • Curating and sourcing articles by subject matter experts
  • Writing articles
  • UX
  • Managing the publication and distribution of the print and digital copies
  • Overseeing the supporting digital marketing support
  • Liaising with the sales team on advertising
  • Conduct research into making an accessible publication

    The Results

    Prior to the redesign of the Autumn 2017 Inform magazine there was a lack of interest by brands and stakeholders wanting to advertise within the magazine. After the redesign all advertising space was booked out for the following two editions within weeks of publishing.

    Positive feedback was received by clients and stakeholders on the redesign, especially regarding paper stock, readability and the content within the magazine.

    Over 5,000 copies were published.

    It's been over 2 years since Inform magazine's redesign and the publication is still active and very much still mimics the original redesign concept.
