This workshop is aimed at business leaders who want to do more with their brand. It will help build an understanding of what a brand really is, how it works and the significance of it if you and your team give it the energy it requires. The workshop will demonstrate the power of branding, the possible return on investment over time, and how that can lead to attractive multiples when it comes to valuing your organisation in the future.


Stephen Moore - The Presenter


Previously Deputy Director of the Invest NI Design Directorate, an Associate Lecturer in Design at Ulster University, Honorary Secretary of the Bureau of European Design Agencies (BEDA), and twice Chair of the Institute of Designers in Ireland Design Awards, Stephen is a true expert and champion of brand and design strategy.

Holding a First Class BA (Hons) in Design and a PGCE in Design Education, Stephen started his career as an Industrial Product Designer with the Design Factor working with clients such as Andor Technology, Glen Electric, Denman Brushes and Rockwell Switching.

More recently Stephen has worked with Microsoft, Kerry Group, Stena, Norwegian Airlines and Historic Royal Palaces, and has also worked with tech companies such as Cardano & Bittrex.

If you are a participant of the Scale X Accelerator programme you will have seen Stephen present several times and his short talks into the world of creativity, brand, design and storytelling always leaves a lasting impression with participants.

So much so, that due to regular requests for more information and time to discuss the topics further, we’ve decided to offer a half day workshop, which will allow our participants the time to go deeper and focus on how Creativity, and Brand specifically, can better realise their business ambitions.



Paul Doherty - The Host


In his mid 20's, Paul was recognised as Invest NI’s Young Regional Entrepreneur of the Year, marking the start of a dynamic, diverse and colourful career.

After completing his honours degree in Architectural Technology, he founded his first company at the age of 25, igniting a 20-year journey of exciting ventures spanning the Creative, Blockchain & Property sectors, some of which are still thriving today.

Throughout his career, he’s had the privilege of working with brands like eBay, Guinness, Randox, Redrow, Berkeley Homes, and Seagate.

He is a member of the Scale X Alumni Network having just completed Simple Scaling's Scale X Accelerator Programme, and is currently studying a Mini MBA in Artificial Intelligence, attempting to understand and define how the irreplaceable humanness of creativity will inevitably evolve alongside the rapid growth of machine learning and AI.

Paul's expertise is in 3D Visualisation athough these days he is the Group Managing Director of U—3D and CO—5, steering both companies toward new horizons of growth and innovation, as he builds out their shared vision of a global creative ecosystem.
