With multiple locations throughout Europe and the US, International Development Academy ensures a diverse range of experiences, resources, and exit opportunities within football and education for all of its student-athletes.


About DME Academy

Established in 2015, DME Academy is an elite, multi-sport training and educational institution designed for student-athletes who are looking to reach their ultimate potential, harness their strengths and achieve their goals. DME was born out of a passion for coaching, and a desire to find a better way to train and develop players while addressing the unique needs of the student-athlete. Our athletes get the training and guidance they need to succeed, access to the best coaches and educators, technologies and facilities, and exposure to the highest levels of competition and opportunities to continue the pursuit of their dreams.

Never Miss A Moment


Compete in More Than 40 Games Per Year


IDA will have an independent competitive schedule, made up of matches against various opponents including private academies, clubs, schools, universities, semi-professional, and professional teams.

In addition to the independent competitive schedule, the team will compete in various college and international showcase events throughout the Winter and Spring seasons.


At times, individual players will have the opportunity to guest play at additional tournaments and events through IDA.


A Sample Day

  • Breakfast: 7:00 - 7:45am
  • Academics: 8:00 - 10:00am
  • Training: 10:00 - 11:45am
  • Strength & Conditioning: 11:45 - 12:30pm
  • Lunch: 12:30 - 1:00pm
  • Academics: 1:00 - 3:15pm
  • Individual Skill Development**: 3:15 - 4:00pm
  • Rest & Recovery: 4:00 - 5:30pm
  • Dinner: 5:30 - 6:30pm
  • Evening Study (SAT & ACT Prep): 7:30 - 9:00pm

Personalized Learning Plan (PLP)

The PLP created by the student, parent/guardian, and Head of School, and is used as a guiding tool throughout the school year. The PLP designates goals, expectations, course selection, and schedules. Parents/Guardians and the Head of School discuss and review the student’s PLP during scheduled meetings throughout the year.





College Guidance Programs

Our college guidance programs go beyond just helping your student-athlete get into college. From day one, students receive an individualized college plan, one-on-one counseling, and digital tools that help prepare them for admission to the college or university that will be the perfect fit for achieving their career, athletic, and personal goals.



Student Life

Housing/Accommodations


Two brand-new dorms featuring  multiple  student lounges, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a large cafeteria, an onsite laundry facility, a conference room, a learning center, an outdoor court, and more. 

Residential Mentors oversee our student-athletes in the dormitories and manage their daily activities, maintaining the overall safety and security of the dormitories.

Student Activities

Our student-athletes have the same opportunities as any other teenager, participating  in events such as prom, attending local attractions and sporting events, and helping DME support our local Daytona area through community service initiatives.

Dining

Our student-athletes enjoy  a buffet style dining hall, that offers nutritionally-planned breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that rotate daily

Health & Safety

Halifax Health provides medical assistance to DME student-athletes. Athletes training at the DME Academy can now benefit from the same orthopedic care and training techniques that have supported many star athletes in the state.

  • Former Head of Partnerships for Soccer Institute of Montverde Academy.
  • Former Director of the Premier Development League, now known as USL League Two.
  • Assistant coach at Jacksonville University from 2012 to 2014.
  • Player at William Carey College.

Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine

  • Former team physician for Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Falcons, and Georgia Tech basketball and football.
  • Fellowship-trained, board-eligible orthopedic surgeon at UF Health Orthopaedics
  • Specializes in sports medicine and minimally invasive techniques
