An event is defined as any number of guests invited to the property that are not booked as house guests, where food and beverages are provided for these guests. This includes extra attendees, caterers, service providers and covers the commercial use of our kitchen, costs and provision of (tank) water, commercial wear and tear and additional administration. (Please note: we do not receive a commission from any service provider recommended in this document)
Our events at Hinterland House can take the form of any number of celebrations including but not limited to birthday parties, corporate events, hen's and buck's celebrations, baby and bridal showers, or simply a family, boys' or girls' weekend away...

Event Venue Hire
Venue Hire at Hinterland House ensures exclusive use of the grounds for your event, in addition to the Manor House and its two adjoining Cottages.
As such, the Manor House + 2 Cottage option must be selected when confirming your booking dates online.
Your venue hire and accommodation rates will also include two return trips with our in-house Luxury Limousine service, free of charge (additional trips may also be booked as required)

2 - 60 (larger events POA)
Music off by 10pm. All guests not staying at the house to have departed by 10:30pm.
2 piece bands only. No drum or wind instruments permitted. Live music to finish by 7pm, then DJ or Ipod playlist until 10pm.
There are 6 car spaces available for in -house guests. Buses are to be arranged for all other arrivals and departures

All events are to provide hire toilet and bathroom facilities. Ratio : 1/25 Guests
There are a number of furniture pieces included at Hinterland House. No furniture is to be placed on grass areas. All additional furniture requirements are to be hired through our preferred supplier list
Property Preparation & Cleaning:
A $600 cleaning fee is charged to ensure that all grounds and property are ready for arrival and for post-event cleaning.
$150 + gst (all rubbish to be loaded into trailer provided)
There are onsite managers living at Hinterland House, and whilst they are located far enough away from the homestead to ensure complete privacy during your stay/event, they will be very aware if any unauthorised events take place at Hinterland House.
If an event is held without management's approval, you will forfeit the bond and may be asked to vacate the property immediately.

Terms & Conditions
By making a booking at this property you agree to the below terms.
All rates quoted on this site are subject to availability. All rates are exclusive of GST and quoted in Australian dollars. By using the rates quoted on this site you agree with and abide by these Terms and Conditions. Rates as quoted are house or house & cabin per night on a house only basis, unless specified. Rates may increase without notice due to any changes in or the imposition of government charges taxes or levies. Guests will be notified where possible of any increases.
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Check in time is 2.00pm and check out is 10.00am. We will try our best wherever possible to accommodate early arrival and/or late departure. Please understand this is not always possible.
Full payment of accommodation is required at time of booking by credit card.
Hinterland House will accept payment by Credit Card or Direct Debit only. Please note we accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards only. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards. A valid credit card number is required for security on all bookings made, without exception. A 2% credit card surcharge applies to all credit card transactions.
INTERNET & PHONE CONNECTIONS
Hinterland House provides guests with free WiFi Internet, local and STD phone calls. The operation of any Internet connection during this reservation is not guaranteed and may be disrupted or not available. Hinterland House offers this service on a fair use policy.
BEHAVIOUR, NO PARTY AND NOISE POLICY
We are located in a rural neighbourhood, with close neighbours (even though you cant see them they are there). Please respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. Unreasonable noise will not be tolerated after 10.00pm, i.e. loud music, shouting, screaming etc. A charge of $500 will apply if management deem it necessary to ask guests to cease unreasonable noise after 10.00pm, or if there are any noise complaints from neighbours. Hinterland House has a “No Party” policy, unless its an event that has been pre arranged and permitted by the owners. We reserve the right to request people who are making too much noise at any time of the day or night to leave. No refunds will be applicable. A security company or police may be called to investigate complaints of excessive noise or anti-social behaviour. Any charges incurred by the security company or police will be charged to the credit card provided as security for the booking.
In accordance with the Byron Bay Shire Council's Short Term Rental Accommodation Action Plan there is to be no more than 6 'non staying' guests on the property between the hours 8am and 11pm. No 'non staying' guests are permitted between 11pm and 8am.
Management also reserves the right to charge guests for the following, but not restricted to, all damages and breakages, lost keys, missing items, late departure, extra cleaning and unpaid expenses. Bond of $1500 will be charged upon final invoice or credit card payment. Said bond will be refunded via the same method upon observation that no damage has occurred upon checkout. Any additional damage over and above the bond limit will be charged to the credit card provided as security for the booking, following at least one attempt to contact the credit card holder.
Hinterland House should be left essentially as you found it - we understand that it will be come 'lived in' whilst you are guests, but leaving it in an outright mess will incur additional charges. Beds and furniture should NOT be moved from the room you find them in. This includes dirty dishes in the kitchen - there is a dishwasher. We allow 4 hours for a clean after each stay, additional time spent cleaning will be charged at $75 + gst per hour. To help keep to the 4 hour cleaning budget its of great help if all beds are stripped of dirty linen, if that has been provided. For any event on the property where a nominal event fee has been charged, a $600 cleaning and groundskeeping fee will also be invoiced to cover property maintenance and regeneration after said event.
Please note there is to be no glitter, confetti or bunting used in your wedding or event. There will be a cleaning fee of $1000 payable to Hinterland House for pool and yard cleaning should this not be observed
LOST KEY POLICY
Keys that are not returned will be charged to the credit card supplied. A $25 charge will apply if keys are lost.
All rooms are non-smoking inside, ashtrays are provided for outside use only. Any traces of residual smoke inside will incur an additional cleaning charge of $200. Any additional costs of cleaning soft furnishings may be added as deemed necessary by management.
Pets are not allowed on the property. This is a working farm and as a result rodent baiting programs are always being conducted and may prove deadly to domestic animals if baits are consumed.
Hinterland House does not accept schoolies reservations.
No refunds will be given on early departure and any outstanding balance will be deducted from the credit card provided.
Hinterland House reserves the right to release any booking if payment terms are not met.
Hinterland House will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury, claims costs or expenses of any kind whatsoever (“Losses”) if the event or accomodation is altered, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled due to a force majeure. Force majeure is defined as any unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of the event inadvisable, illegal, impracticable or impossible. Force majeure shall include but shall not be limited to: fire, flood, other natural disasters or an act of God, governmental restrictions or regulations, war or apparent act of war, terrorism or apparent act of terrorism, civil disorder, disturbance or riots, curtailment, suspension or restriction on transportation facilities and means of transportation or any other emergency.
Hinterland House is subject to the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. We will generally collect personal information about you directly from you when you deal with us over the telephone or by letter or e-mail. Normally, the type of personal information collected by us will include your name, address, telephone number and e- mail address. We may use your personal information for some or all of the following purposes:
To provide marketing information to you about our products and services
To monitor the standard and quality of service we provide to your or other guests.
If you do not wish to receive these communications from us, you may unsubscribe. If you choose to send email messages to us that contain confidential, private or personal information, you do so entirely at your own risk.
The Law of New South Wales governs your use and occupation of the property during this reservation. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New South Wales.
The information, text, graphics, images, sounds, links and all other information and software published or otherwise contained on this site (“the contents”) are the exclusive property of Hinterland House and, except as authorised on this site, may not be copied, distributed, displayed, reproduced or transmitted, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without the prior written permission of Hinterland House.
Hinterland House strives to ensure that the contents of this site are accurate and reliable. However errors and/or omissions may occur, Hinterland House disclaims any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, as to any matter whatsoever relating to this website and any links to or from this website, including, without limitation, warranties as to merchantability, non-infringement of intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose. Hinterland House does not warrant the accuracy, currency or completeness of the contents, including, without limitation, any information relating to prices or availability. Hinterland House will from time to time revise the contents and/or the products, services and resources described on this site, and reserves the right to make such changes without any obligation to notify past, current or prospective visitors or users of this site.
Hinterland House shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of the use of (or inability to use) the property, this website or its contents.
CANCELLATION POLICY (ACCOMMODATION)
If your booking is cancelled 6 months or more prior to your scheduled arrival at Hinterland House, there will be no charge except a $500 administration & marketing fee. If cancelled or modified within 6 months the full tariff will be charged. Where a deposit has been paid (over our peak periods) the deposit is non-refundable. Where possible when a cancelation has to be made, management will try and relet the property and if successful then a full refund will be made available.
