WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
In this vastly different time, Shellharbour Council is looking for ways to continue to support and showcase our local creative community.
ENLIVEN is a series of diverse art programs, live music and immersive creative learning experiences developed to 'ENLIVEN' Shellharbour after the recent lock down period. The program will celebrate and showcase local artists, musicians, makers and producers across the region.
This is a COVID-Safe series developed from the highly successful annual Live n Local event. Each experience is designed to be delivered in a reduced capacity way appropriate to the environment we now find ourselves in.
Live music, exhibitions, site specific performance, creative learning experiences - the weird, the wonderful, the tried and the experimental - Enliven is about showcasing and celebrating the region's best artists, musicians and makers.

Curatorial Programs
LIVE N LOOK FOR ART
Live n' Look for Art is a marathon/scavenger style event held across the City designed to encourage exploration and awareness of Shellharbour's existing (and proposed) art scene.
EXHIBITIONS| POP UP PERFORMANCES | LIVE ART| PUBLIC ART
Live n Look for Art will be all inclusive events that can be completed at the participants own pace. The purpose is to bring attention to the wonderful array of art and artists that exist within our City and to provide a unique way for friends and families to connect and experience Art as part of a scavenger hunt style mission.
LIVE N LEARN
Live n' Learn is a series of interactive arts learning experiences incorporating local venues including cafes, restaurants and retail businesses
Beyond a workshop, Live n Learn will be complete, immersive creative experiences - part 'how to', part performance and part social connection.
WORKSHOPS |DIY |MUSIC |ART
Experiences will be delivered with specific connection to the hosting venue or business. A local dress shop might see a wine and cheese night where participants learn to sew, create or up-cycle old clothes. Local bars may play host to performances and song writing workshops. Book stores can be inspired by graphic novels to showcase artwork and drawing workshops.

Shellharbour Live n' Local Music Series

Based on the hugely successful Live n Local one-day event, this rolling series will engage local business and local musicians in a series of pop up (acoustic style) gigs designed to take place across the City - in cafes, restaurants, shops and bars.
Eligibility and Selection
Are you eligible?
This opportunity is open to Shellharbour LGA-based artists, musicians, collectives and organisations.
Artists from the Illawarra/Shoalhaven Region, who have delivered a significant body of work here are also eligible to apply.
All artforms are eligible.
Key dates and selection process
This is a rolling program. You can apply anytime by EOI, however Council may need to change this program at any time to respond to changing circumstance, resources and environment. The program may also evolve over the course of its delivery.
If you are successful, you will be notified and we will discuss your requirements, fee, possible venue(s) and possible dates with you. The program will run initially between the end of August to the end of November 2020.
